Ingredients

  • 2 Filets or steak of choice
  • 1 1/2 Stick salted butter (1 stick softened – the other 1/2 for later)
  • 2 Cloves minced fresh garlic
  • 1/2 Cup shopped parsley or herbs of choice
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 3 TBLS Olive oil

Instructions

  • Salt and pepper steaks and bring to room temperature
  • Mix remaining ingredients and spoon onto a piece of parchment paper
  • Roll into a log about 5 inches long and twist the ends to close
  • Refrigerate for up to 30 minutes
  • Preheat oven to 350
  • Heat oil and butter in cast iron or oven safe skillet on high
  • Add steaks and sear on each sided for 3 minutes or until a crust forms
  • Place in oven and cook until desired temperature
  • Take out of oven and cut a pat of herb butter and place on top
